Documents required
- Egyptian passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay, with at least two blank pages
- Scanned image of the passport data page
- Recent photo with white background
- Invitation letter from the host company in Chad stating the purpose and duration of the visit (secondary source, to be verified on the platform)
- Letter from the employer in Egypt confirming the job and purpose of the visit and covering the costs
- Confirmed return flight booking
- Hotel booking or residence certificate in Chad
- Proof of financial means (bank statement)
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate (usually required, to be verified)
- Electronic payment method (bank card) to pay the visa fee via the platform
How to apply from Egypt
- Go to the official evisa.td portal (interface in French) and create a user account
- Fill in the application form, select the visa category (business), duration and processing type (standard or expedited), and upload the documents
- Pay the fees electronically via the platform and track the application status from your account
- Upon approval, download the e-visa, print it and carry it when travelling
- Applying at the Chadian embassy in Cairo is not recommended, as visas issued outside the platform will not be valid after 21 May 2026
