Documents required

How to apply from Egypt
- Apply online through the official eVisaST portal of the Immigration and Border Service (SMF) at smf.st at least 7 working days before travel
- Fill in the form, upload a PDF including the passport, ticket and residence details, then save the reference number
- Track the application status from the 'autorização de entrada' list, then 'consulta de visto de entrada', using the reference number
- Print the approval and carry it when travelling, as airlines may refuse boarding without it
- On arrival at São Tomé International Airport (TMS): fill in the arrival and departure form and pay the stamp fee in cash, in the exact amount, to receive the visa in your passport
- For stays longer than 30 days: apply for a regular visa through the São Tomé mission abroad, as there is no confirmed embassy or accredited visa centre in Cairo
