Laos Business Visa for Egyptians

1. Egyptian passport valid for at least 6 months from arrival date, with at least two blank pages
2. Clear color copy of the passport bio page and copies of previous visas, if any
3. Two recent personal photos, size 4×6 cm, white background, without glasses, taken within the last 6 months
4. Visa application form completed in English and signed by the applicant
5. Official invitation letter from the inviting company or entity in Laos on official letterhead and stamped, detailing applicant information, purpose and duration of visit, and company sponsorship commitment
6. Pre-approval visa letter (Visa Approval) issued by the Department of Immigration or Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Laos, obtained locally by the inviting company
7. Copy of the business operating license or company registration of the inviting company in Laos
8. For employees: Employment letter from the employer in Egypt in English, recent (issued within the last month), stating job title, salary, hire date, and travel approval for business purposes, stamped with the company seal
9. For business owners: Recent commercial registry excerpt and copy of tax card, with certified English translation
10. Mission assignment letter from the Egyptian company detailing the nature of business with the Lao party (meetings, exhibitions, negotiations)
11. Egyptian bank statement for the last 6 months stamped by the bank, in English, preferably with an adequate balance (equivalent to at least approximately $2,000)
12. Round-trip flight booking (tentative booking, not a paid ticket)
13. Hotel booking covering the entire stay, or a letter from the inviting company confirming they will provide accommodation
14. Travel medical insurance policy covering the trip duration, preferably with coverage of no less than $30,000 (officially optional but recommended)
15. Yellow fever vaccination certificate only if the applicant is arriving from or transiting through an endemic country
16. Copy of the Egyptian National ID card, with English translation if requested by the embassy

1. Contact the inviting company in Laos and send them a copy of the passport, passport photo, and travel details
2. The inviting company applies for business visa pre-approval at the Department of Immigration or the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vientiane
3. Receive the pre-approval letter (Approval Letter) from the inviting company via email
4. Submit the complete file to the competent Lao embassy accredited to Egypt, after confirming the designated embassy and its consular jurisdiction in advance. There is no VFS or TLScontact center for Laos visas
5. Schedule an appointment or courier the file according to embassy procedures. Biometrics are generally not required for Laos visas
6. Pay fees in cash in USD or via the method approved by the embassy
7. Collect the passport with the visa. Alternative option: obtain the visa on arrival at Vientiane or Luang Prabang airport upon presenting the pre-approval letter, along with a passport photo and cash fee in USD
8. Extension of stay, if required, is processed inside Laos before the 30 days expire, through the inviting company
