How to apply from Egypt

  1. Obtain from the host company/entity in Afghanistan the authorization reference number from the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an invitation letter or explanation of the purpose of the visit
  2. Download the visa form from the embassy website cairo.mfa.gov.af, complete it on a typewriter and sign it
  3. Book an appointment via the Appointment link on the embassy website, or contact cairo.sr@mfa.af or phone 2417 7236 (02)
  4. Submit the application, passport and documents at the embassy: 59 Al-Orouba Street, Heliopolis, Cairo (Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00)
  5. Pay the non-refundable fees upon submission, then collect the passport with the visa on the date set by the embassy
