Documents required
- Photo of passport data page — valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the required visa
- Recent 3×4 cm photo with white background
- Round-trip flight booking in the traveler's name
- Hotel booking covering at least half the length of stay, with the full address and names of all travelers (or an invitation letter from the host with its documents)
- Original bank statement stamped in English for the last 3 consecutive months with a balance of at least EGP 35,000 per person (EGP 70,000 for a family) — credit card statements and investment accounts are not accepted
- Employer letter (HR) on company letterhead with official stamp and English translation — handwritten letters are rejected
- Copy of social insurance statement with English translation
- For business owners: commercial register and tax card (original, copy and English translation)
- For students: enrolment certificate with English translation
- For retirees: pension statement with English translation
- For non-working persons and minors: bank statement of the father/husband with marriage certificate or birth certificate in English, and a copy of his ID card
- For minors: travel authorisation signed by the parents, with copies of their ID cards and English translation
How to apply from Egypt
- Apply online via the official portal thaievisa.go.th and upload all documents
- Enter the name exactly as it appears in the passport — any error will result in automatic rejection without refund of fees
- Pay the fees by credit card or direct debit
- Track the application on the same website (up to 10 working days)
- After approval: print the approval email and present it to the airline and to immigration in Thailand
