1. Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
2. Recent passport photo (less than 6 months old) with a light background, meeting ICAO standards without digital alteration
3. A passport issued within the last 10 years, valid for at least 3 months after leaving the Schengen area, with at least two blank pages
4. A4 copy of the passport data page and copies of previous Schengen visas
5. Travel medical insurance covering the entire stay and all Schengen countries, with a minimum of 30,000 euros (a travel insurance policy schedule from an Egyptian group policy is accepted instead of the sticker image)
6. Detailed travel programme
7. Return flight booking showing the reservation or ticket number (and transport within the Schengen area if visiting more than one country)
8. Proof of accommodation for the full period (confirmed and paid hotel booking or host confirmation)
9. Original bank statements for the last 6 months, stamped and signed, with translation
10. For employees: a stamped and signed employment letter stating start date, job, salary and approval of leave
11. For business owners: original commercial register and tax card
12. For students: proof of enrolment
13. Family record extracted from the Egyptian civil registry (for all applicants)
14. Travel history certificate from the Mogamma (for first-time applicants or those who have lost their passport)
15. For minors travelling alone or with one parent: notarised consent from the parents/guardian, a copy of the birth certificate and a copy of the guardian's passport
16. All documents in English or translated into English or Czech

1. Applications are submitted directly to the consular section of the Czech Embassy in Cairo: 4 Shareh El Dokki, Giza (phone +20 233 339 700). No external visa centre is mentioned on the embassy website
2. Book a tourism appointment by email only to cairo.tourism@mzv.gov.cz on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The subject line should contain only the passport number, with one PDF attachment (up to 10 MB) of the passport data page and one email per applicant
3. The embassy confirms the appointment by email within 7 days; no reply means the registration is rejected. The waiting period for an appointment may reach 5–7 weeks, and the appointment cannot be changed
4. Attend the appointment in person (consular section hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) to submit the file, pay fees and provide fingerprints (unless taken within the last 59 months)
5. Collect the passport from the embassy after the decision is issued
