Documents required
- ApplyVisa electronic application form with a cover letter and fee payment receipt
- Passport valid for 3 months at least after return from the Schengen area
- Copies of previous passports, if any
- Recent colored 35×45 mm photo with a white background, not older than 6 months
- Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros covering all Schengen countries and the full duration of stay
- Letter from the employer or sponsor stating the salary, reason for travel, arrival date, duration, and confirmation of return
- Flight booking (electronic ticket accepted), with the original return ticket shown upon collection
- Hotel booking or proof of accommodation
- Bank statement for the last 6 months or other proof of sufficient financial resources
- For minors: birth certificate, parental authorization if traveling without parents, proof of kinship, and proof of school enrollment showing the grade
- All documents on A4 paper without staples, in English or Danish (with certified translation for other languages)
How to apply from Egypt
- Fill in the application and pay the visa fees electronically on ApplyVisa.um.dk, and print the cover letter
- Book an appointment at the VFS Global center for Danish visas
- Apply at the VFS center in Cairo: 52 Lebanon St., 5th floor, Mohandessin, Giza (phone +20 2 21600055), or the Alexandria branch: 696 Al-Horreya St., Loran — Sunday to Thursday 8:30–13:00
- Pay the VFS service fee in cash in Egyptian pounds, and give fingerprints and a biometric photo
- Collect the passport from the VFS center after the decision is issued (showing the original return ticket)
