Documents required
- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
- Passport valid for at least 3 months after the end of the stay, with at least two blank pages
- One personal photo that meets the approved photo specifications
- Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros covering all Schengen countries (original and copy)
- Return flight booking
- Hotel booking or proof of accommodation
- Bank statement for the last 6 months
- Letter from the employer stating job title, salary, and leave (or commercial register and tax card for business owners)
- Family register extract, and a movement certificate for first-time applicants
- For minors: birth certificate and parental consent

How to apply from Egypt
- Book an appointment via the VFS Global website for Finnish visas in Egypt (vfsglobal.com/finland/egypt)
- Attend the VFS Global centre for Finland in Cairo in person to submit the application
- Pay the visa fee and service fee, and provide fingerprints and a biometric photo
- The embassy may request additional documents or an interview
- Collect the passport from the VFS centre after the decision is issued
