1. A completed Schengen visa application form in English, signed
2. A recent colour passport photo (taken within the last 6 months), 3.5 x 4.5 cm, with a white background and without glasses
3. An original passport valid for at least 3 months after the visa expires, with at least two blank pages, issued within the last 10 years
4. Previous passports covering the last 7 years if no Schengen visa was obtained during that period
5. An original family registry extract (for married or divorced applicants) or individual civil registry extract (for single applicants), translated into English
6. A round-trip flight booking that includes internal transport within Greece
7. A prepaid hotel booking for each night within the Schengen area, with proof of payment from the hotel
8. Travel medical insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 EUR from one of the approved companies
9. A very recent personal bank statement showing transactions for the last 6 months, stamped on every page and in English
10. For employees: an HR letter stating the date of appointment, job title, salary, and social insurance number status (if not insured, this must be stated explicitly)
11. For business owners: a valid commercial register and a valid tax card, with proof of annual renewal
12. For students: an enrolment certificate from the school or university
13. For retirees: a printout from the Social Insurance Authority
14. Translation of the Arabic documents into English (except the commercial register, tax card, and Mogamma certificate, which are translated only by the Greek community)

1. Book an appointment through the website of the VFS Global Greek visa centre in Egypt (appointments cannot be cancelled or changed; missing an appointment requires a new booking and new fees)
2. Apply at the Cairo centre; holders of passports issued by the offices of 18, 19, 20 (Alexandria), 21 (Marsa Matrouh), 36 and 37 (Beheira) must apply in Alexandria only
3. Attend the appointment in person to submit the file and provide fingerprints (unless they were recorded in the VIS system within the last 59 months)
4. Pay the visa fee and service fee in cash or by card at the centre
5. The consulate may request additional documents or an interview
6. Collect your passport from the centre or via the courier service (within Cairo: 263 EGP; outside Cairo: 450 EGP)
