Documents required

  1. Passport valid for at least 3 months after return, with 2 blank pages, plus all old passports and previous visas
  2. Signed visa application form
  3. Two recent 35×45 mm photos with a white background
  4. Stamped bank statement for the last 6 months
  5. Letter from the employer (HR) stating position, salary and leave, or commercial register and tax card for business owners
  6. Travel medical insurance of at least €30,000 covering all Schengen countries
  7. Preliminary round-trip flight booking
  8. Preliminary hotel booking for the entire stay
  9. Cover letter explaining the purpose of the trip
  10. Copy of national ID card
  11. For minors: translated birth certificate and parental consent
  12. Additional mandatory questionnaire for Egyptian citizens
  13. All documents must be recent (no older than one month) and in English

How to apply from Egypt

  1. Fill in the Schengen online form, print and sign it, and complete the questionnaire for Egyptian citizens
  2. Book an advance appointment at the VFS Global Latvia centre in Cairo (visa.vfsglobal.com/egy/en/lva). The embassy does not accept applications or bookings by mail
  3. Attend to give fingerprints, submit the file and pay the visa fee (€90 ≈ 5,623 EGP) and service fee (1,874 EGP)
  4. Track the application and collect the passport
