How to apply from Egypt
- First: check whether a visa is needed at all. Holders of a valid Schengen, US or UK visa (or valid residence in these countries) are usually exempt and may enter for up to 30 days, provided that the validity period of that visa is not exceeded
- Identify the Montenegrin diplomatic mission responsible for Egypt (the embassy in Cairo if it accepts applications, or the nearest embassy or consulate accredited to Egypt), and contact it by email or phone to book an appointment and confirm the updated list of documents
- Prepare the complete file with translations and stamps, and review it at the agency before the appointment
- Attend the appointment in person to submit the application and the original passport, attend a short interview if requested, and provide fingerprints if applicable
- Pay the visa fee using the payment method specified by the embassy (cash in euros or bank transfer), and keep the receipt
- Applications are usually forwarded to the competent authorities in Podgorica for approval, and processing typically takes between two and four weeks
- Collect the passport from the embassy in person or through an authorized representative with a power of attorney, and check the visa details (name, passport number, duration, number of entries) immediately upon collection
