How to apply from Egypt

  1. Identify Italy as the main destination, since the Vatican is surrounded by Rome and does not issue a separate visa
  2. Fill in the visa form and prepare the documents
  3. Book an appointment at the VFS Global Italy center in Cairo (or Alexandria, if available) through the official link: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/italy/egypt/english/
  4. Attend the appointment in person to submit your file, provide biometrics (fingerprints), and pay the fees in cash in Egyptian pounds
  5. Wait for the decision and collect your passport from the VFS center
  6. When traveling: enter through an Italian airport or border crossing, then visit the Vatican freely with no border procedures. If the visa is single entry, you must not leave the Schengen area and then return.
