Documents required
- Passport valid for at least 3 months after return, with two blank pages, along with old passports and previous visas
- Signed visa application form
- Two recent 35×45 mm photos with white background
- Invitation letter from the host company in the Schengen country (purpose, dates, and who bears the costs), with the company's registration details
- Letter from the Egyptian employer (job title, salary, purpose of trip, approval to travel), on company letterhead and stamped
- Commercial register and tax card of the Egyptian company (translated)
- Personal bank statement for the last 6 months, stamped, plus the company's bank statement if the company covers the expenses
- Travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000
- Preliminary flight and hotel booking
- Proof of the business relationship (contracts, invoices, correspondence) or registration for the exhibition/conference, if applicable
- Copy of national ID card
- Closing balance in the bank statement of at least EGP 25,000 per applicant
- Invitation letter from the Hungarian business partner including phone number, address and email
- Movement certificate from the Mogamma, if this is the first Schengen visa
- Family register extract
How to apply from Egypt
- Book an appointment at the VFS Global centre for Hungary in Cairo (visa.vfsglobal.com/egy/en/hu). The embassy only accepts Schengen applications in special cases.
- Attend to give biometrics, submit your file and pay the visa fee (EUR 90 ≈ EGP 5,031) and the service fee (EGP 1,453)
- Applications cannot be submitted more than 6 months before travel
- Track your application and collect your passport
