Documents required

How to apply from Egypt
- 1) The Iranian host contacts us to issue the invitation and provides the applicant with the necessary details (invitation number, organization address and phone number)
- 2) Fill in the application on the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal evisa.mfa.ir (or through an Iranian travel agent/intermediary) and select the Embassy of Iran in Cairo as the collection point
- 3) Wait for approval from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and receive the authorization code (Visa Grant Notice) by email
- 4) Make sure the code has reached the embassy in Cairo (12 Al-Rifai Street, Dokki, Giza – phone 0020237486400 – iranemb.cai@mfa.gov.ir)
- 5) Go to the embassy with the passport and required documents and pay the fee to collect the visa (Sunday–Thursday)
- 6) Keep a printed copy of the electronic visa until departure from Iran
